Charles Benton (February 13, 1931 – April 29, 2015) was an American executive who was CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Benton Foundation and former CEO of Public Media Incorporated, a film and video publisher and distributor.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Who We Are )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Charles Benton Dies )〕 Benton was born in New York City in 1931, the son of William and Helen Benton.〔()〕 He graduated from Yale University in 1953, and did post graduate work at Northwestern University.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=AFA Advisory Board )〕 He led the Foundation through its evolution from a grantmaking to an operating foundation devoted generally to the field of communications.
